It all began in the first months of 2008: the two brothers where challenged into creating a live performance of electronic music for an event – something they where reluctant to accept. They came up with a name, and created their own exotic blend of UK Garage, sprinkled with Afro Beat, Ragga or Dubstep. Their performance was the highlight of the evening, and this was the start of the Octa Push outfit! From this point on, they have performed all over Europe (Sonar in Barcelona, Fabric in London, The Glade Festival, Vamos Festival, The Amsterdam Dance Event, Optimus Alive, Casa da Música and Lux – amongst many other clubs, festivals and venues), and their musical creations have been released by such regarded brands as Soul Jazz, Fabric, Soundway Records, Enchufada, Steakhouse or Optimus Discos… the acknowledgement was also overwhelming, from SBTRKT to Thom Yorke, Gilles Peterson or Sinden.
They gave been featured in compilations alongside the likes of James Blake, Benga, XXXY, Martyn, Rusko (Steppas Delight 2 on Soul Jazz, or Elevator Music on Fabric). After releasing “Oito” in 2013, they released the 2nd album, called “Língua” in September 2016, performing live with band, they were seen at Eurosonic-Groningen, Gent, Brussels, London, and on the big Portuguese festivals like SBSR, MED or Vodafone Paredes de Coura.
